Get in the mood and sing praises, be glad in your heart, dance and give thanks as this song takes you into God's undeniable blessings for you. That's the message J. Johnson wants to pass across.

If you don't pay attention to the lyrics you just might bump this in the club if you're a DJ and who says we mind? This is a good effort from J.Johnson.

The Guaranty Trust Bank Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013 scheduled to take place on the 23rd of October to the 26th October 2013 at Eko Hotel’s Ocean View in Lagos, Nigeria is a multi day premiere fashion event platform that aims to drive the Nigerian fashion industry and lift its profile by bringing together buyers, consumers and the media to view the current collections of designers in the fashion capital of Lagos, Nigeria. It will feature both local and international designers and showcase the best of African talents.
Commenting on the sponsorship, General Manager, Communication & External Affairs, GTBank; Lola Odedina said ‘As the headline sponsor of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013, we recognize the importance of the fashion industry to the growth of Nigeria’s economy and The Guaranty Trust Bank Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013 will act as a catalyst to ensure that fashion can become a sustainable business model which can drive commerce in Nigeria’.
Different activities have already begun in Lagos to commence the Guaranty Trust Bank Lagos Fashion & Design Week. Guaranty Trust Bank Lagos Fashion and Design Week in partnership with British Council, recently concluded a fashion film work shop for film makers as well as master classes on the business of fashion for the 20 shortlisted young designers from the ages of 21 to 30; who were selected from a vigorous screening process across Nigeria. These 20 shortlisted young designers will all compete to create a collection for the MTN Young Designer Awards 2013 where the winner will receive a cash prize of N4, 000,000 courtesy MTN.
 Omoyemi Akerele founder of Lagos Fashion and Design Week stated ‘For 2013, as part of our vision to build from within, we are exploring retail partnerships for our designers across Nigeria. With garment manufacturing becoming more accessible within the country, this is feasible.’ She further added The LFDW Platform is also unique for its ability to provide opportunities for both young and established designers. As established designers in the industry seek expansion into new markets, we have created opportunities for retail within the continent and internationally.  
Akerele also added ‘our by-line for this year is “building from within” and the key word here is “building”. As we work towards positioning the platform as the hub for commerce and creativity on the continent, we are also aware of the need to contribute to creating structures in place for the industry to grow and thrive’
 Also speaking on the sponsorship, Kola Oyeyemi, GM, Consumer Marketing, MTN said, ‘we are delighted to be part of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week, having participated in its growth from inception till today, we remain committed to supporting the Lagos Fashion and Design Week goal of growing the Nigerian fashion industry especially its young talent via the MTN Young Designer of The Year Prize.’

Agbani Darego opens AD Denim Showroom in Lagos

On Wednesday 18th September 2013, Agbani opened the doors of her AD showroom to the media. 
For the event, Agbani wore a pale  AD v-neckline blouse, AD jeans and a pair of yellow wedges. The look was accented with diamond stud earrings, smokey eyes and a neutral lip colour.
Spotted at the event were beauty entrepreneur Elohor Aisien, blogger/entrepreneur Noble Igwe, stylist Ezinne Chinkata, Glam Networks CEO Bola Bolagun, media personality Jumai Shaba and fashion blogger Adaku Ufere.
Speaking about her denim line, Agbani said;
“It is a line that caters to the ease we require of our personal style and it is intuitive to our body, style and pocket needs”.
Products available include its range of Jeans, Bags and its Zip front Shirt Dress. Polos and tunics will be introduced later. The official launch of the AD Showroom will take place in October 2013.

The press meeting was put together by 9jamusiclounge for TONY JACKSON ENTERTAINMENT who is the chief organizer of the event as stated above.

Highlighted at the meeting was the need for models to be appreciated and celebrated as their worth in the modeling industry, most especially our Youths that are upcoming and growing in the same industry.

Fresh Fred moderated the meeting as Tony Jackson, Don Flexy, Mik Dunamis and a top model, Damola where asked questions on details of the forthcoming event on the 30^th September 2013 same day the Organizer Tony Jackson is celebrating his Birthday and also his many years in the Entertainment & Modeling Industry as a whole.

Ability Modeling Agency moderated the auditioning of models for the runway to take place on the 30^th September to usher us into the Independence day of Nigeria as she becomes 53years after her Independence since 1^st October 1960.

Fashion Designers like Mark Couture and Wowo Couture will be displaying some of their works on the runway on the day of the event.

Also invited for the Event billed for 30^th September 2013 are our Super Models Uti Nwachukwu, Melvin and Beverly Osu of the Big Brother Africa. Artiste like Samklef, DonnaDiva are also going to be in attendance with a few Comedians to thrill the guest.

Ecovison Entertainment same day and venue will be having the ARIK AIRLINE STAFFS in full attendance as guest will be entertained with lots of fun put in place by the organizers. The Two Master of Ceremonies will be Fresh Fred and Linda Osifo all the way from Canada.
